As mentioned, Navigator tracks from shipment to delivery. By dividing these by segments, e.g. Dray Move, Port to Port, Port to Customer, etc., the system has the individual transport data for each segment such as booking number, BOL number, Carrier SCAC, ETD/ATD, ETA/ATA, order numbers, vessel data, and more. This method also allows TCMS to properly allocate specific costs to individual segments, and thus provide a total cost for the trip.
Track from Origin to Destination
Navigator will track both inbound and outbound freight no matter the INCO terms or mode of transport. Even if the shipment is ‘D Terms’, Navigator is capable of utilizing the PO data and transport data to track from origin to plant and deliver not just logistics transparency, but allow our customers to see quantities arriving to a specific location and on what day – which is invaluable to finite planning at the plant level.
Proactive E-Mails Upon Departure, Delay, and Arrival
Our GPS integrations allow for proactive emails to be sent to customers with order information, departure times, and ETA. These emails are order specific and by using our proprietary delay algorithm, any delays in transit will be calculated, and a new ETA provided to your customer.
Distance, timing of emails, distribution, along with other variables are all customizable to how you as a customer would like to inform your client. Since a system such as this is mandatory for many OEMs, this service attached to our tracking module is very beneficial.
