Understanding Costs Allows Costs to be Controlled With Limited Operational Impact

TCMS will digitalize these invoices so clients can utilize our ShipperBI dashboard to see trends in costs at the item level.  This allows clients to isolate areas of hidden costs and trends that may indicate underlying issues with inspection or maintenance.

Freight costs are audited against the contracts of our clients, while distribution expenses are audited based upon client negotiated prices and the contracts on file with TCMS.  Distribution expenses include everything from leases to PPE costs and can therefore be archived and used for budgeting purposes when developing Annual Operating Plans, or when targeting negotiation baselines in procurement.

Having both Freight and Distribution expenses together in one system allows for a powerful tool when calculating Total Landed Cost.  This in turn allows for proper pricing, and can also be used in more powerful optimization tools that can optimize distribution networks or asset utilization.
