Fleet Management

Fleet Management

Navigator tracks the shipment data for each segment within a trip.  If the trip goes from Point A to Point B or runs across multiple points from Point A to Point D, each segment maintains the dates and times needed for transit and turn-time data to be used in fleet sizing calculations.

Fleet Sizing

Fleet Size = No. of Shipments / (time frame / turntime)

Navigator provides all the data to calculate this by product category, by trade lane, or even by SKU.  This data is also very relevant when examining bottlenecks within the supply chain.  Is time being wasted at the facility, the port, with the carrier, or are dwell times at customers the largest variable affecting your fleet?  Navigator allows you to answer these questions and target actions to decrease the fleet size and save money.

Asset Tracking

Navigator has several integrations which allow for the tracking of assets.  While much more is and can be done with this data, just knowing the location of an asset is primary to managing them.  For most domestically used transport, GPS is used to track the asset.  Navigator imports this data and provides it via reports or our Shipper BI dashboard system.
